The words spill from me,
Sometimes it's like I am,
Bleeding...
My thoughts stain the page,
They never fade,
And there are moments,
When the words,
Get in the way...
Without words, there is no music,
Without music, I cannot sing...
Here I am,
I am just a man,
Who sings...
I am hope,
I am faith,
I have the strength to believe...
It's all there!(There!)(There!(There!)
There inside of me!
Waiting for the right moment,
The moment to set me free...
The words are my way of showing,
All of my hope,
All of my grief,
And I never use them,
To deceive...
I get lost, along the way sometimes...
It's like I'm running around in circles,
In my own mind...
Without words, there is no music,
(No music...)
Without music, I cannot sing...
Here I am,
I am just a man,
Who sings...
I am hope,
I am faith,
I have the strength to believe...
It's all there!(There!)(There!(There!)
There inside of me!
Waiting for the right moment,
The moment to set me free...
The words are beautiful,
And the words are strong,
The words are powerful,
And sometimes they leave me torn..
Wearing away!
(Away...!)
At who I used to be!
But where would I,
Who would I be...
Without the words...?
Without words, there is no music,
Without music, I cannot sing...
Here I am,
I am just a man,
Who sings...
I am hope,
I am faith,
I have the strength to believe...
In the rhythm that surrounds me...
It's all there!(There!)(There!(There!)
There inside of me!
Waiting for the right moment,
The moment to set me free...
Here I am,
I am just a man,
Who sings...(Who sings...)
I am hope,
I am faith,
I have the strength to believe...
In the rhythm that surrounds me...
The rhythm that moves me,
That soothes me,
That bends me,
And takes me,
But it will never break me,
As it...
Sets...
It's self free...

Everything she has,
I want.
I want to be thin,
to have her curves,
her beautiful shaped eyes,
dancing and perfect green.
I want to have men stop,
stare, willing to do anything,
for a moment of my time,
as they do her.
I want to be so loved,
so spoiled.
Men offer her jewelry,
trips, cars, clothes...
everything they have,
just for her attention.
Anything she wants,
is hers for the asking.
I want to have her long legs,
able to go dancing,
whenever she wants,
as long as she wants.
To be able to wear...
sexy clothes,
fine jewelry,
delectable shoes.
To not be laughed at,
to be desired...
I want to be he

Echoes
She echoes inside.
Her loneliness leaving her barren and cold,
Her fingertips so bloodied and broken.
She had tried to climb out,
But to no avail.
Her love lay on the earth beside her,
As her tears,
Echoed.
Her eyes are chiseled out stars,
trails of gold carve into green;
wobbly curses splatter the walls
She tries to get out,
She tries to get out.
"Don't leave me," he says
as whispers
Echo.
Trickling water resounds around them,
Its pattering going slower, and slower,
Pounding deep within her.
Her eyes, like chocolate melt with tears,
And as they flow she is immersed in nothingness.
Darkness is her friend,
Her weakness,

Rather
Maybe I would choose to watch you at the other end of the shore-
Of this rather large water-scape, just to see you chew your grievances.
Or maybe I would take a boat to where you're standing and spit dry, pathetic words-
Your way so you could, one day, take faith in all I have to say.
Perhaps I could relax here quietly as the tension slowly builds up the crusty grime-
On my shoulders, just to feel my tears spill at, "I miss you"
Or I could let the wind off the water chill my existence and carefully wash my dirty-
laundry they call skin away, and be eaten alive by the ocean.
So when the time would come, you'd swim exhaustively just be

Some, very few, really, will remember the "Rhythms" series I wrote well over two years ago.
This is a combination of 2 of those pieces, rewritten to tell a story together that they never could apart.
I am amazed at the power of words, amazed at the power of MY words, and I live each day in gratitude for the gift I have been blessed with, and in gratitude for the chance to share it with the world.
Without words, I am not who I am.
No matter how I am perceived, no matter what good or bad things are said about me, no matter if I am loved, or hated, to myself I will always be simply...
Just a man who sings.
A man with hope.
A man with faith.
A man who loves unconditionally.
A man with the strength to believe...
In everything.

Very true, and very poignant.
