Coming to Life

Wandering...
Alone in the middle of millions,
Never really seeing what I could see
Wondering...
About who I am and who I was,
And who I could one day maybe be

Thoughts pass...
Each other at the speed of light,
Sound drowned out and left behind,
And I realize...
I was wandering and wondering,
For no reason!
A life filled with excuses,
Changing with the seasons!

I know...
Something is wrong
And I've known...

I've known it all along...

So I will open up my eyes!
And tell it all good-bye,
For the last time!
I will bend,
But I wont break,
There is nothing I can't take,
As long as myself,
I don't forsake...!

I am...
Alive!

I will leave it all behind!
I will step forward and claim,
All that's mine!
I will never lose my way,
I will never fall like this again
I will face it,
I won't deny,
One single moment of my life...

Thinking...
About anything and everything,
All at once
Blinking...
The tears of a lifetime,
Away because they've blinded me

Moments pass...
And they all merge together,
Past becomes present,
Becomes reality...
I was thinking and blinking,
For no reason!
A life filled with excuses,
Changing with the seasons!

I know something is wrong!
And I've known it all along!
