Awake

It's right there on my face...
The things I've seen,
Memories, all unerased...
Dreams and screams,
So real that I can taste...

Each and every one...

Sometimes I feel lost,
Sometimes...I feel so used,
Sometimes it's like I'm looking at a map,
That's empty, it has no clues

And even though I can see,
The world as it spins around me,
I don't see the people,
I only see symptoms of the disease

And so I...open my eyes...

And breathe

I am awake!
I am alive!
Every breath I take,
Fuels that which drives!
I am awake!
I am alive!
I raise my voice so high,
So I can take on the night!

It's right there in my eyes...
Such pain and suffering,
All so undisguised...
Nightmares of flame,
So hot that I forget from where I came...

Sometimes even my name...

And even though I can see,
The world as it spins around me,
I don't see the people,

Fuels that which drives!

So shut your mouth and listen,
I'll give you a reason to fight
And though some would call it treason,
It is never wrong to do what's right

Become the light...

Wake up and become alive...!
